omc cobra trim/tilt leak

Hey all,

I have a 1988 4.3ltr OMC Cobra. Seems like I have to add trim/tilt fluid every week or so. I can't see it leaking anywhere in the bilge or on my driveway. Anywhere else this stuff can be going? Bellows maybe? I would think that I would be able to see something.

Just thought about it because I know someone will ask. The drive stays where I put it....It doesn't drop down at all by itself

You wont find it in the bellows. Check the lines coming out of the pump,the trim rams and lines at the transom bracket.Look in the bilge as well..

if its not goin in the boat the its going in the water, leaking at the fitting on the rams(lower outdrive)most liklly..
