OMC electronic ignition conversion

I would like to convert my points to electronic ignition. I have an OMC Cobra 2.3L 128hp on a 1990 1750 Caravelle bowrider. Does anyone know what I would need, and/or have suggestions for where I can get it? Also, I heard that there can be issues with the shift assist and that you need to trick it into thinking the system still has points. Any idea on how to do that?

I've been to the pertronix website but the support page does not work and I'm having trouble getting information on which kit to order. You would think people would be happy to give you that info so you can buy their stuff.

Call Pertronix, get the # off your distributor and they can tell you which one.

I solved the problem by purchasing a new ESA from Rapair/CDI which is Pertronix compatable. Boatfix had a screamin deal on it. Sorry Iboats... but you don't like us OMC dudes.
