I apologise up front because I am pretty sure there was a thread on this recently....and I would be confident that it has been asked before in here....but i did a search and got either 1000 hits that weren't right ....or zero hits.
Anyway....
OMC steel fuel tanks, the later version, single line type.
The caps have a rubber seal. Is this available anywhere as a service part? If not, has anyone had any luck D-I-Ying these puppies?
Price of a new cap is anywhere from $21- to 27- ...they are cheaper by mail order for the US, but shipping eats up any savings and then some.
New plastic tanks can be had for ~ $30- +/-, so a new cap is not very cost effective.
