Hello all,
I'd like to build a durable gear case pressure/vacuum hose that I can attach to a pressure pump or my vacuum pump. The only fitting I have to screw into my OMC gear cases is the cheap plastic POS that comes with the gear oil pumps.
Can anyone provide a link to a more durable fitting that I can purchase or offer an alternative?
Thanks,
Bob

The least drama free version is the CDI version hose/barb assembly part # 551-34PV.

Mityvac and the Harbor Freight Maddox kit are probably the most chosen units for pressure/vac combo unit.

If I remember right the holes are either 5/16 or 3/8 coarse thread. I took a bolt that had some shank on it, drilled a hole down the center, put a nut on it tight to the shank, ground off the flats on the nut....i think, cut the head off, then I used an extra nylon washer to seal. Attach rubber hose with hose clamp.
