omc gimbal bearing oil seal

My question is, im replacing the gimbal bearing and the oil seal.I cant remember which direction the oil seal was facing is the open end facing in or out any help would be great thanks

If it's a Cobra, open end out. That fits in the end of the tool. with perfect seal on the outer.

make sure you have the hole exposed for the grease fitting
