'88 Bayliner, 3.0 OMC. Has 'new' updated shift cable. Goes into gear extremely easy, but when trying to stop requires quite a bit of force to shift into neutral. What could cause this? Could it cause any damage by having to apply so much force to shift out of gear?<br /><br />Rebuilt engine, replaced half the floor, new trailer tires last week (blew out on way to lake)....just one more bump on the way to the water...!
