My out drive is making a clicking noise up where the motor connects to the outdrive and it vibrates the whole boat. Can anyone tell me what this might be and how to repair it?

YES I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE AND IT WAS THE SPIDER GEARS IS WORE OUT. THE GEARS IS LOCATED BEHIND THE OUTDRIVE JUST RAISE THE OUTDRIVE ALL THE WAY UP AND LOOK ABOVE THE EXAST PORT AND CHECK THE TWO GEARS IF THEY ARE WORE A LOT THIS CAUSES THE VIB AND NOISE HOPE THIS HELPS.

BODINE56

The noise and vibration occurs all the time . It doesnt matter if you are in gear or not.

Yes you have the COBRA drive and you may have a problem with the U joints. If the drive has not been off in the time you have owned this boat or if you just got it and don't know , then pull the drive, have the joints inspected and if found good lubed. Also you have valves in the exhaust pipes of this unit that can emit the same types of sounds that you might be hearing, especially if you are idleing rough, which it sounds like you may well be.Check your state of tune.
