OMC Outdrive Lower Unit

Hello all,
I have removed the 73 OMC outdrive from my boat. I have removed all bolts from the lower unit, and yes broke one that will have to be fixed. I cannot get the case to seperate, does the top housing cover need to be removed and some other connection there on the shaft that is preventing me from removing the lower unit? Thank you very much for any input.

Mine was an '84 but I also tried to remove the lower, had to take the upper apart to find more bolts.

Have you removed the one bolt that is accessible once the Rudder is removed?

Be careful of the Electric Shift Cable when lowering that unit. It is secured at the top by a clip and goes through a passage hole in the Exhaust Housing.
