OMC parts source?

I am going to need some OMC stuff for my 5.0 this winter.....such as raw water housing on front of engine, belts, etc. Does anyone have a good source for OMC stuff, so i can scout it out and prepare to order this stuff? the local shops can get it but they actually told me they mark it all up quite a bit.

Belts you can probably get from NAPA.

You'll have to do a little shopping for the T-stat housing (If that's what you're talking about)

Try Doug Russell parts, for OEM parts (if they still exist)

Otherwise some parts can be had from NAPA (Sierra Marine Parts)

Google is your friend here. Try "OMC PARTS" in a google search.

BESIDES THE OBLIGITORY IBOATS SEARCH, I have found all that I needed on eBay, go2marine and crowley marine.

I too needed a thermostat housing, but just could not find one. I was going to get one for a 351W Mercruiser and make it work, but I ended up fabricating one on my own that matched my original ( I am a welder by trade ).

I also kept an eye on craigslist. I was lucky enough to spot an add for an electric shift leg, for $500, that was coming off an old Grady that was being scrapped. When I looked close at the picture, I recognized the 351w. Same year and model as mine. I called the guy and he said if I came and bought the leg, I could have the engine and int housing to boot. He even threw in 3 props for it. Now I have a spare EVERYTHING.

I've had good luck with these people. They have always had the part available even the wierd ones and their pricing is the best I've found online.

Nothing better then Ebay if you're worried about markup. Next stop is thefind.com or Google's former "Froogle" aka Google Product Search.
Large, expensive parts like housings are cheapest on Ebay (used).

You can find OMC dealers by looking for Johnson/Evinrude in your area. They've all been taken over by Bombardier.
