I own a 1995 238 four winns omc 5.8L. I removed the outdrive last fall with drive piston retracted (no tilt.) When I went to install the drive last wk I found the pistons completely extended. I installed the drive but was unable to to lower the outdrive unit. When the down rocker on the throttle is pushed it is dead. When I push the up rocker it makes the noise indicating it is fully extended. Where do you think the problem is - in rocker switch on the throttle? no or low fluid? how can i jump the switch? how can i tell if the fluid is low and where is it filled and with what fluid. where can i find online schematics i would really apprecitate any help thanks
