Does anybody out there know why...when Push my 1974, OMC stern Drive throttle forward she goes into gear perfectly...When I try to drop her back there seems to be a "dead spot" in the throttle that jumps the thing into neutral. When I ge passed that spot it seems to be okay. I can avoid it by slappint the handle out of gear going quickly past the "dead spot" but that isn't a great joy. Is is gears or do I need another control?
