OMC Sterndrive binnacle for outboard controls?

I've got a dual OMC binnacle control, and would like to use it to control two outboards (One Merc and One Yamaha).

If I use the morse-teleflex universal type control cables, can I just put the OMC ends at the controls, and Merc/Yamaha ends at the motors?

I think this is a good question for morse-teleflex seeing they make the cables.

I was hoping someone on here might have done a kicker setup with mixed outboard brands.

Don't give up hope, someone on here might chime that has done it. I haven't.

I picked up a good deal on the OMC dual control, otherwise I would have gotten one that was a Quicksilver/Mercury, but they were real pricey. At least with a Mercury control, I only had ONE outboard that had to have some accomodation in the control cables; with the OMC, I might have a problem. (I emailed Teleflex and will post their response on the issue)
