Is it the black plastic control with the red switch?

Check the wires down around the pivot point of the lever. The tiny wires will only flex so many times.
You might find a broken wire.
It might be broken inside the insulation where you cant see it too.
Mine was.

I had the same control and the switch went bad (if it is the standard black OMC control)
It is held in with a square metal clip.
The part number is on the wires from the switch and i found one on ebay for about 20 bucks.
I may still have an extra one in the shop.I will look this evening.
I bought 2 of them...

Is this the control?

Gary...that's not quite the one. The switch has a small round button for up and another for down. I was able to bypass the switch at the ramp so I could get it on the trailer. I installed an new, seperate toggle which should last through the end of the season. Then I'll get it fixed right.

Thanks everyone. As with the torn exhaust boot I installed a switch inline to use until the end of the season and have it fixed correctly at lay-up.

I have a 95 Evinrude Ocean Pro 200 and mine went bad this weekend. I was wondering what the part number was as well. Thanks in advance for any help
