Model 6026 is a 1937 Evinrude 22.5hp, dtreb.<br /><br />I don't remember that one being called a Speedtwin.<br /><br />You might want to recheck the numbers and give us a bit more info.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats.

The way Evinrude recycled names, it's almost impossible to keep track. If it were the twenties, a speeditwin would be around 8hp but could be 16hp. In the 60s, they stuck the name on the 28hp. But in '37 and up to the 50s, it was 22.5hp.

I got speedtwin from the impression left from decals on side of tank.I was told these motors were used for racing. your thoughts? my next step is to return this engine to running condition. thanks
