Omg Engine oil Price

Just been looking at Volvo Engine oil price ?140 for 1 gallon,
For this

A fully synthetic oil for use all year round. Specially developed for high performance engines. Provides excellent protection against wear under severe running conditions at both high and low extremes of temperatures.
Viscosity: SAE 15W-50/SAE 30
Grade: API SJ, ACEA A3/B3

Is there any alternative cheaper but just as good. It's my first oil change since I bought the boat last August Engine has done 450 hours.

Moved this over to the non repair IO forum with the other thousand "What oil" threads.

Basically, if you don't want to use what the manufacturer suggests, then use what ever you want. Every oil know to man has been used in a boat and recommended by someone. Just look at the last (locked) threads in this forum asking the same question.
