On board charger clicking

My on board one bank charger is making a fast clicking noise when I plug it in. I've changed batteries and it might charge normally but it always goes back to clicking. I put my car battery charger and it does the same. My trolling motor is hooked up to this battery I'm trying to charge. Any ideas!

I have heard then doing that when they think they are overcharging. This is supposed to help save the charger from a short circuit.

Disconnect one of the batteries and then try the charger. If the charger still clicks, it maybe bad. If no click (likely), you would appear to have some kind of short circuit, lowering the voltage enough to cause overcharge.

Your batteries are connected in parallel, right?
