Re: on board chargers

There are a wide variety of on-board chargers among them Guest, Pro-Mariner, MinnKota, and the list goes on. You can use any charger that has two 12 volt outputs. One output connects to each battery. Some of these dual, three and four bank chargers allow you to bridge outputs to achieve 24, 36 and 48 volts but the result is the same as hooking each bank directly to each battery. At six hours a day the batteries will need to be charged everytime you at the dock and the charger should have a minimum of 8 amps output per bank - preferably 10 amps.

I've used the Noco Gen 3 for about 6 months now with no problems. I purchased because of good reviews at Amazon, forum members gave good remarks, and made in the USA. Seems to keep the batteries very strong.
