Bonding my plywood transom to the fiberglass vs resin? After being advised on using gorilla glue for laminating my two 3/4" pcs together, thinking that stuff would be good to glue the wood to the fiberglass. Its thicker than resin, waterproof, expands 2 to 3x its size filling voids better, and cheaper than epoxy resin.

The transome piece is 8' x 3' which is a good size piece to coat with resin and then clamp and screw it into place before it sets up. Plus the room to work with is very limited in the bilge. With the Gorilla Glue, it will give me more time to work with it. Of course I plan to glass everything over once the wood is bonded to the fiberglass hull.

Good idea or bad?
