On line Navigation Charts

Is there a place on line I can go to and view water way charts in my neck of the woods? Or do I have to get them the old fashion way, and buy them. Looking for charts of Long Island Sound. Ct. NY area.

I don't believe that freeboating charts.com works for freshwater inland lakes... at least I can't get it to.

Here is a good Free site<br /><br /> http://chartmaker.ncd.noaa.gov/ <br /><br />And then you find a free ENC viewer and poof, you have any Nautical map you need.
