I use 2 bulbs in the line to the kicker ,mostly because one line is too short but I never had a problem

I don’t have time for this. The boat gremlins are getting to me. I fix one thing and a bunch of others brake. I was on the water all day yesterday and I’m going tomorrow. Yesterdays new problems: lost end cap from cannon track. Big Jon Downrigger pops breaker. Fuel leaks from main engine connector(already put old one back on). Boat loads on trailer crooked. I’m using fuel but gauge is not going lower. Now I have to take a gas can with me. Bimini tried to fold in half and now has a 20mph limit. Kicker stalls.
Deep breath.

So the kicker runs for five min and then I have to prime the bulb to keep it running. So either sucking air or fuel pump. I see you have to buy the whole pump as it’s non serviceable 5hp Honda 1997.

Time for some maintenance and repairs....all of us boat owners have had those days ! Over many years of experience I have learned to take the time, spend the money, and do it right ! Pays off in the long run. The only thing I can address here is your boat going on crooked. With all the gizmos we have today, there is no excuse to have your boat on crooked. From side guides ( long ones, not poles) to self centering rollers, modifications can be made to correct any problem. Often just having a trailer in to deep is the culprit. If you post pics, we can make suggestions to help with this issue.

Great day on the water today. Nothing broke.
Buddy pulled the rope to hold the boat on straight.
I ran the kicker off the portable tank and it ran perfect. I’ll keep the kicker on the portable. I’m pulling the selector switch out and putting the main engine direct line to inboard tank.
I’ll look at the trailer tomorrow.

working on the boat while on the lake is way better than working on the boat in the driveway.

Food for thought, boats always break.
