KB i have security alarms on truck, tracking device on truck, security lights, motion lights all around house. I am a redneck hunter that has 12 guns, 4 bows, and about 3000 rounds of amunition. Better be a good theif that takes my truck. cause my keys are not just hanging from antenna.

Don't leave your dog in the car with your keys either. Mine jumped up on the lock button - no matter how hard we tried couldn't get her to press unlock. Luckily her feet wouldn't reach the pedals or else she would have driven away!

Out duck hunting one day, got back and loaded the boat while the extended cab truck was warming up (you know how cold duck hunting can be). Dog stepped on the lock button and then sat in the truck whining like "oh Dad - it/s so dang hot in here. Walked two miles to a pay phone and called the financial director to bring her keys (25 miles one way). Walked back to the launch and just poking around with a long stick through the back window's crack, managed to unlock the door. Looked up and saw the boss pulling into the launch. No choice - I locked it again!!<br />I ain't stupid.

A customer came in the marina and left his dogs in the car...he left the a/c on and the car running...also had electric locks..the dogs saw me look out the door and started jumping around...one of them hit the lock button and the guy had to call his wife and tell her that the dogs locked him out !! :D :D :D

OnStar is a wonderful thing! Rushing around last month I locked keys in Yukon. Instead of calling the Mrs and hearing about it for a long time, I called OnStar's 800 number. After giving them my password and answering a few questions to prove I was who I said I was and the vehicle was indeed mine, they unlocked it for me (and the people I called were about 1,000 miles away, in Canada). Imagine that! It is a great thing!

Locked myself out of the van last Sunday with the trailer in the water! I had climbed out through the back hatch on to the trailer tongue & drove the boat over to the dock. Walked back to the car and danged if I didn't have to pull off my shoes & socks and wade around to climb in thru the back! ramp was slippery too. I had just made a mental note to close the hatch after I got onto the boat so CO2 wouldn't accumulate in the van - but of course I forgot that (luckily).

I know this sounds like the Dept. Of Redundancy Department but I started carrying extra keys to all of my vehicles and house and office in a leather key case in my back pocket....all of the time. I never leave home without it. Have had to use it and glad I had it more than once.
