Re: Ongoing Issue

Some people must just enjoy being taken advantage of... All my ducks are in a row... I have a Mechanic's witness to the conditions of the defects. The boat has even been surveyed. What is your point Capt Ken? You are way out of line. Are you upset that people actually stand up for themselves?

Re: Ongoing Issue

My point is that the customer's attitude goes a long way in the way they are treated. When the customer cops an attitude with the dealership and the dealership is doing everything they can to make the customer happy, they usually write the customer off and say that nothing can be done to make this customer happy. When the customer also cops an attitude with the engine/boat builder's rep, this also happens and this appears to be your case. I don't believe Mercruiser would have blown you off unless this was the case. I've seen the Mercruiser rep go to great lenghts to keep their customers happy and set up appointments with other dealerships in the area to correct problems that one dealership couldn't repair. This mechanic friend of yours would need to be a certified marine mechanic and would need to repair the problem and be able to explain precisely what happened, to be a credible witness in your behalf. Just saying the the boat isn't right and showing some pictures won't cut it. Your documention will need to outweight theirs. If not, you will just look like an unreasonable boat owner to the judge. Folks now a days think that going to court and thinking they are in the right is enough. Right or wrong makes no difference. Its who proves their case better to the judge.

Dude, there is no thinking. I am in the right. This dealership has a reputation of poor service. It wont be a hard battle. I didn’t have a "friend" Mechanic overlook the boat. I paid out of pocket for it. Please do not assume things. You will never win in this argument. And the Conversation was with my lawyer trying to resolve the issue before it got to this point. So in good faith I have taken all the proper channels.

Chad I say "Good Luck" to you. I am a consumer just like you and a Dollar is hard to come by. It especially sucks when it is a situation as yours and your hands are tied. So go get them commie bast@#&s, and take them for what there worth. Sounds like they have it coming for them anyways.

Yep, and my crystal ball predicts that Ole Chad will show his attitude in court whereas the attorneys will both make money and Chad will still have a broke boat with no where to take it. I don't know what Ohio's law is on lawsuits but its possible that Chad could be facing paying the marina's legal expenses also. Never pays to cop an attitude when ya trying to get someone to help you. Worse screwing I ever received was from my own attorney that I used for years. He's a judge now. Oh yeah, I'm not here to win an argument, I'm just trying to explain the facts of life in the business and legal world.

Chads.

Save your breath for the Judge. Right or wrong, you are stuck with a court battle.

You are not going to persuade the others here with shows of confidence, and even if you did, it wouldn't matter, would it?

Further discussion here would be bad for your attitude.

Let us know how it comes out.

Good luck. :)
