Ok, I know this might be a competing dealer or what not with Iboats.com but I thought I'd ask anyways. Is buying parts from Mercstuff.com a reputable dealer. I just made a purchase on their website and then realized they do not have a phone number to call them and really no good way of contacting them. Anyone ever dealt with them? I'm starting to feel stupid for putting my cc info on their site now.

When you listed your CC number(s) was the secure lock anywhere on the screen? That usually is a good indicator for a reputable company. i have never dealt with that company so can't state one way or the other... However, If you seriously feel it isn't a legit place, call your CC company and put a stop to the charges...

I mean, the website is referred to in this forum often and in other forums but there doesn't seem to be any reviews on purchases. Just a little concerned.

I did verify that the site was HTTPS and showed the secure lock emblem in the address bar.

I bought some tools from them years ago. Everything arrived as ordered except..... they used the "if it fits, it ships" method with some very heavy items that ultimately punched through the packaging. A part fell out during shipping and as you mentioned, they are hard to get ahold of. After an several generic email replies and no restitution I gave up.

Bottom line, you'll probably get your stuff but if something with you order isn't right, T.S.

Thanks for the info Knot Waiting. What I ordered is small so hopefully I'll get it. It's not so much the part or shipping but if they're for real and not just stealing information/cc.
