btw, not just in south africa. In Ghana, as I am sure anywhere there are poor and uneducated, there is a large population that only has electricity in their homes or workplaces because they have stolen it from elsewhere. It is almost a daily occurance to hear of another person electrocuted because of "poorly stolen" electricity. I remember a couple years ago a fireman was electrocuted when the power company shut off electricity to a burning printing company - only to have the presses being run with stolen electricity. The fireman touched one and was fried.
