Re: oops, jcsercsa, neone, how bad is it really?

Thanks everyone. I found another place closer that cost a lttle more that the second place but not too much more. The second place had a "marine website" but could only provide pics of moped fenders, and cowlings. Not good enough for me. I dropped it off at #3 yesterday and went back today to drop off the trailer after I finished removing all the old striping and painting it. They had just finished grinding so I jumped under it and started examining the area. Fortunatley, The pic I posted was the absolute worst looking I could have gotten. After it was all grinded out and all the cracks were gone, there was NO visible hole. The picture made it look a lot worse, I know. I stuck aroound and watched a bit and YES, they make it look all too easy. As intimidatied as I was by it before, I believe now that i could have done it. I most likely won't pay twice to have this done, but at least they are giving me the "lifetime guarentee". I.E. They promise I will never ever be plagued by those Three Holes again so if it ever breaks, which it won't, just bring it back. I can't ask for more than that. I really don't need another project right now. They are good guys, seem to know their stuff and I trust that they are doing good work. Thanks for all your help guys I hope you'll all be here next time I have a problem!

If the folks here say its easy to do yourself, it is.
Messy, but simple.

I never doubted that it would be easy to apply, I just was unsure about the strentgh of the bond I would create. When I watched , thiugh, they were doing comaprable work to paper hanging and nothing more in difficulty. . Thanks again

True enough, but you can't be blamed for thinking it was more than that, some like to make it sound like rocket science.

Sometimes the grasshopper needs to see another jump, before he himself can do the same ;)
