When I was about 12 my Father took a few scouts out in our boat in March or April. My Dad launched our boat and tied it to the dock and we all, about 6 of us, climbed in. The Boy Scout Scott, 16, was trying to help push the boat away from the dock. My Father told him to get in but he did not listen. He was pushing the front of the boat away from the dock but could not let go of the bow rail. Needless to say he was stretched full out over cold water.

Yep his feet just kinda fell off the dock and he let go. Belly flop into 50 degree water!!!
We all had to go back to camp so he could change clothes.

I just cant get over this and it was 25 years ago!

It's Amazing the stupid things we saw and did in scouts.

We had one kid one year up at Scout camp take half is ammunition at the rifle range and pocket it! Well that night around the campfire he thinks it would be fun to toss the shells into the fire!

No one saw him do it. Next thing you know it sounds like we're in a war zone everybody running for cover. Thank God no one was hurt! But that was his last trip with us!

Hell, some of them don't have to be young to be stupid. I was camping at the Kings Island campgound a couple years back. It was just after sunset and I heard this bang. I told my wife that it sounded like a gun shot. Next thing we know there is a big stir from that area. Then the ambulence shows up as we are making our way over.

It just so happens that some idiot threw a shotgun shell into the fire to impress his kids, and the kid's friends. Fortunately no one was killed. However, they all had to be taken to the hospital to remove pellets from thier arms. Thankfully, the idiot got it the worst.
