Recommissioning. Normally the trim motor tells me when the skeg is starting to penetrate the sod. Extra wet spring. The torpedo was half submerged before I heard a groan or felt the stern lift. Oh well, that area of the lawn needs some aeration.

That is one way to aerate the yard! Soft sod = no damage = fun story to tell without being sick to your stomach because you have to replace a lower unit!

Yea. I think I recall a 'whew' in there somewhere. On the driveway with a piece of plywood under the skeg is easy to locate. Mushy sod, not so much.
