Opening up the bow of my boat

I have a 15ft 1970 Starcraft with a 85hp Johnson. It is a closed bow boat. I am thinking about opening up the bow and putting a swivel seat in the bow. Will this in any way compromise the structure of the boat.

many have joked about it, but none that i know of personally have done it. just sell it and buy an SS
