I have a Eagle Fish Easy fishfinder and wanted another for the rear of my boat. So I have one at the front on 1 at the rear. Is it possible to run 2 screens off 1 transducer? Do they make some sort of an adapter os would I have to splice them in and what would it do to the reading if anything? Did anyone out there ever try this?

That's great. But what I would like to do is operate both at the same time. Both units powered on together.

If you buy another locator, it will come with another transducer -- mount it up front. If you have a trolling motor it can be mounted on the motor. If not, most can be installed so they shoot through the hull. The only networked unit I'm familiar with is Pinpoint.

That's true. No harm with running another wire.

Many manufactures now have option to add a second display, but by the time you get it set up would be $1500 on more. Only good thing is can then add a radar that will overlay GPS data.

If you add a second unit and it is on the same frequency 200khz then any time the transducer cone angles overlap they will interfere with each other and niether will work right. With one transducer on the bow trolling motor and one on the transom with a standard 20 degree tranducer will work down to about 30 feet deep. Deeper then they will again interfere. Different frequency should work. One 50khz and onr 200khz.

But would 2 Eagle fisheasy finders be on the same frequency? Both exactly the same. How can I tell if they are? I would mount 1 transducer at the front an one at the rear of a 16 ft. Jon.

Locators from a given manufacturer will likely operate on the same frequency. I had two Eagles on my previous boat and they did not bother each other at depths to about 40 feet. Under way you are using only one anyway. When fishing, turn the one on the console off if it interacts.

Eagle Fisheasy are 200khz. Most Freshwater units are 200khz. Lowrance and Eagle did use 192KHZ but recently change to the same frequency as most other brands. I not sure why they changed but they did it the same year that some trolling motor started putting 200khz tranducers in their motors.
