Opinion on Avanti brand boats

Hi all,<br /><br />Is an Avanti boat any good? A guy has one for sale here in Michigan for $3500. Its a 1986 18', has a rebuilt 1986 OMC Cobra 175HP Engine and other stuff like a cover, cd player w/infinity speakers...nice trailer. Here are some pics. Would it be worth buying? Rob looks like a nice boat dont know about avanti boats , If you are realy serious about this boat make an offer contingent on survey report, ask at a marine store who the would reccomend for a survyer cost around 2or 300.00 but well worth it, be sure to test drive on water.
