Opinions on V-Max

I am looking at a new jet boat here for shallow rivers. I have been running Merc Jets for quite a while. Merc is an option for the new one. The other option is the Yamaha V-Max in 150 horse. There are three fuel options on that one, anyone have experience or opinions on this motor or any of the fuel options? My F-series Yamahas on the salt water boat have been bulletproof, but are not this series..Any opinions would be appreciated....thanks
