I have pulled & am getting ready to replace

  • U joint bellows
  • exhaust bellows
  • shift cable & bellows
  • water hose
  • gear lube hose
  • trim limit/sender

Can someone help me with the order I should do this. I have the manual but it only talks about re installation on an individual basis. I found this on another thread originally posted by natemoore

"Sing this with me! You know the tune!

The water hose connected to the...gimbal housing.
The exhaust bellows connected to the...gimbal housing.
The cable bellows connected to the gimbal housing.
Oh hear me curse the world.

The u-joint bellows connected to the...bell housing.
The shift cable shoved through the...cable bellows.
The water hose connected to the...bell housing.
Oh hear me curse the world.

The u-joint bellows connected to the...gimbal housing.
The exhaust bellows connected to the...bell housing.
The bell housing connected to the...gimbal ring.
Oh hear me curse the world.

Thank you! I'll be here all week!"

Is this pretty accurate? & in which verse should I do the trim switches and the gear lube monitor hose?

I cannot get the tapered nut on the engine side of the water hose. Anyone know a tip or trick. I am now desperate. I am thinking I am going to have to pull the engine to get it in. any suggestions???
