Ordering a new 350 Long Block, a few questions

I'm in the market for a new 350 for my 211 Liberator, the motor has burnt valves, bad rings, and frankly I just don't trust the damn thing anymore seeing how its 24 years old and I've only owned it for 6 (god only knows how many hours are on it). So my question is, how do I determine my rear main seal type so I make sure to order the correct block? It's a 1986 Mercruiser 5.7L 350. Is there a way to determine this by serial number, or visual inspection? Thanks for the help.

Ayuh,... If it's original, it's a 2 pc. seal motor....

87 is the 1st year of the 1 pc. motors...
