After reading and searching, it appears mine is period correct for 1967, but it appears to be in great shape. I just got back from a 4 day fishing trip and it's dry.
.
I'm thinking the Snickers wrapper ended up down there when they replaced the deck. I don't know when that was.
.
Either way, my boat was likely stored under cover most it's years and by the seats and the vinyl on the side panels, it was freshened up at some point.
.
I see no reason to replace it.

Looks like the original foam I pulled out of my SS16

Yeah, I keep my boat out of the weather. The floor is sturdy and dry.
Surprisingly, (knock on aluminum) I haven't found any leaking revits. After I rebuilt the transom 4 or 5 years ago, every time I took it out, not even a drop of water in the bilge.
This last four day trip was in semi rough water in Astoria and had some splash coming over the bow when plowing forward.
But still, the foam does appear to be soaking any of it up. I pulled a bunch out and it's all dry.
