Original 1998 OMC 176615 Stainless Steel Boat Propeller- can it be rehubbed?

Any input welcomed; prop in perfect condition just now starting to slip on planeing

tried to remove OMC inner hub but it will not budge.

Prop shops have the hubs and a hydraulic press to do the job.

I didn’t know if the 1998 OMC SST prop had a replaceable inner hub; the service manual shows a hub in the parts break out illustration but that part is no longer available. I can press it out (likely) but the question remains if a replacement aftermarket hub can be located. I’ll look into this further before purchasing a new replacement prop from iboat.

call a reputable propeller shop. even a volvo prop (with a permanently bonded hub) can be rehubed.

i didn’t know that. I’m in touch with a prop shop in Gainesville Florida that looks good for swapping out the hub.

if that doesnt work, General Propeller in Bradenton is probably the best prop shop this side of the mississippi

Nothing from Gainesville today; I believe I’ll try your recommendation Scott. I’ll update the post with my findings.
