Hi,
I am looking at a 99 Striper that was re-powered with the 2004 5.0 OSi (originally with the SX drive) and then later added a "new" DP-SM drive with SS prop. Does this sound reasonable and compatible? If I understand correctly the OSi motors were normally mated to the composite XDP drive. Does it really matter whether it is an DP-SM or XDP that is used with the OSi?
thanks

Re: OSi with DP-SM

The OSi identification letters stands for Ocean Series Injected engines with Composit drive. Same engine as the DP-S drives used.
The only thing that changed was the outer transom shield and drive.
