These are all 1988 to 1990 Models. Along with the S-16,...I would like to also
consider the S-14,the WC-16 DLX,and the V-16 DLX. All MUST have Evinrude or Johnson motors, and they all MUST be tiller steer models. Price range for the boat, motor, and trailer(a must) has to be within the $1,300.00 price range.
The S-16,and the V-16 DLX are rated for 40 HP motors, the S-14 is rated for 35 HP,but 25 HP would probably work okay. The WC-16 DLX is rated for 25 HP as well,so a 25 HP motor is a must. Would prefer manual rope start on all
motors, but if it already has electric start,I will accept it.I am going to start getting a savings going toward all this very soon,so keep your eyes out for any of these Lunds.

FWIW the older WC-16's are quite a bit lighter weight than the S-series boats. As I recall, they are 0.058" aluminum whereas the S and SV's are 0.063 to 0.072" (I am going on memory here). The WC's also lack the splash pan if that matters to you.

I have used countless S-16's and think they are great boats. The V16 delux seems to be a hard to find model. They are a full Deep V unlike the semi-vees used on the S and WC models. SV meant "soft vee", but I have no idea what that means...

Also, don't forget about the "Laker" boats. They are the same hull as the S models, but have carpeted floors, a livewell, and bench seats just like the V16's.

Sorry for the disjointed message, but hopefully it is useful.

Best of luck,

Steve

So,...the S-16s and WC-16s are easier to find than the SV models,I take it?
Motorwise,I am pretty much set on Evinrude or Johnson for power,...but I
would accept a Yamaha motor in the same HP range as the OMC motors.
I just do not want Mercury if I can avoid them,...too much trouble in the past
with Mercury product. I just need to keep one of those ad papers around and
keep an eye out for one. I can go in and place a "Wanted" ad and describe to
a T what I am after. That might be a big help if those who would see the ad would know exactly what boat I am after.
