All you do with the dealer locator is select service and put in your zip code; it will tell you where the nearest dealer is and how far they are from you.

If that doesn't work for you, check with maxrules.com or ishopmarine.com.

The parts numbers that I gave you are correct. The older numbers have been superseded.

I will repeat that, in my opinion, you would be ill-advised to attempt the removal of the carburetor jets [orifices] in your 1973 all metal carburetors without soaking the carburetors first.

A fuel filter is not a fuel pump. http://www.iboats.com/mall/?cart_id...&keywords=fuel+filter&submit.x=35&submit.y=12

Would Chemtool surve as a good solvent for my carb? Do I need to only soak parts of the carb? From the posts that you linked me to some folks had problems with plastic parts. There seems to be little or no plastic in my carb, but I have yet to remove it from the ph.

It sounds like I should be weary of removing the jets. Will soaking clean them thoroughly? If I shouldn't remove them, then I have no desire to.

Fuel filter: Are you referring to the Fuel/Water Seperator, MF14? Do you mount this near the tank or in the O/B?

I was able to find a local dealer using your link. The technician there informed me that it was perfectly fine to soak the carbs. In fact, he said to soak them for a few days if possible so that the solvent could work in the small passages.

He sais that he wouldn't remove the jets. Clean it first, install it, then let the operation of the engine tell you if the jets need to be removed.

The dealer had in stock the kits, hose, and tees. I plan to pick them up today.

Glad that you could find a dealer. Be sure to have him or her recommend a fuel filter system to protect your new powerhead..

Mount your fuel filter as close to the tank as possible and before any other parts in the fuel system. Today's fuels can separate leaving water on the bottom of the tank in addition to what may arrive there by condensation.

I use 3/8" id hose and fittings on my 115,

Is it OK to use vaseline or some other substance on the o-rings and gaskets in order to hold them in place during installation or keep them from getting streched or nicked?
