I got my HEI distributors and electric fuel pumps and all the junk that went with them off today. I count 4 fuel filters for each engine including the brass one in the carb, a little overkill I think. Also, from the way it was plumbed the oil pressure safety would not have worked because the pumps were between the fuel tanks and the water filter, so there still would have been pressure from the running engine going to the failed fuel line on the other engine, bad idea! The pumps should have been after the water filter to be right, anyway I don't care! mechanical pumps and metal lines on the way! and period distributors in and ready, thankfully whoever did the electric install did not cut the old wiring, just added 10lbs of extra wiring, thank you whoever you are!

This setup was just too complicated for a simple old boat, including wiring, kill switches, oil switches, pumps, water filter, fuel filters and a thousand clamps to loosen up, not to mention the huge automobile HEI distributors. I am looking forward to fuel line, mechanical pump, go!
