I have a 13'6" Gregor powered by a 25 hp. Evinrude, both early 80s, that has sat in storage since about 2002. I'm trying to get them back in action since they are in exceptional condition. Time was not good to the plastic gas line with the squeeze bulb between 6 gal. tank and motor. I ordered what looked to be the replacement. When hooked up and squeezed no fuel makes it to the motor and there is a gasp of air at the motor end with every squeeze. And the tank connection slowly leaks fuel onto the deck. I don't have the old one to compare. Can anyone shed some light on the compatability of the older motors and the connectors on the new tanks and hoses?

Check the pickup inside the tank and the fuel inlet on the motor. Has the carb been rebuilt after sitting for 25 years? Best bet is to replace all the hoses on the motor and rebuild the carb with a factory rebuild kit. Probably gunked up from old fuel. The fitting on the tank where the hose connects have some O rings inside, there are videos on replacing those O rings. Letting things like motors sit for many years is not good for them.
