Outboard information model 35602S

Just got handed a 35 hp evinrude model 35602S is this a short shaft ? are parts still available? not pumping water .was wondering what the"S" at the end of the model # stands for (starter), (standard), (short)? thanks a ton, John

John, I'm not an expert but your model number appears to be a 1976 model. While BRP still has online parts listings and diagrams for J&E motors back to 1968, some parts listed are NLA. Just have a dealer run the numbers for you. If NLA, try some of the other sources forum members recommend. According to other posts I have read on the forum, the "S" designator is for electric starting. If it had a long shaft, there should have been an "L" designator in the model number also. Good luck!
