Getting ready to install a new to me yamaha 130 hp 2 stroke on my wellcraft 190ccf center console. Lower bolt holes have these thick square metal plates on the inside (ignore the thin plate with 2 screws used to hold the bolt head when tightening. Think it's OK to leave the square plates as they are without pulling them off? They are very attached to the transom. I have 4200 sealant and new bolts. I was thinking just filling the holes with 4200 and leaving the plates alone. Any input would be appreciated.
