Okay, i know there are different length legs on outboards.... From where is the measurement taken from? I just wanted to know what length is on mine and also what is the proper placement for a lower on a boat...
IE what measurement to the horizontal line of the center of the prop..., or however its done.

Transom bracket to AV plate. Center of prop has nothing to do with it. Transom bracket is what sits on top of the transom. AV (anti-ventilation plate) is the plate directly above the prop.

I took my motor off~ but in all reality, if the motor was sitting on the boat... You would measure down from the top of the transom down to the AV plate, Correct? Just wondering where on the bracket you would measure down from.

If you install an outboard on the transom and let it sit full down, where the top of the transom strikes the transom bracket (the U-shaped deal that holds the motor on the boat) that's where you measure from.
