It is a sealed unit.------But usually there are tags attached reminding you to fill with oil.----Install a water pump ----Install a propeller if need be.
I have a old 67 merc 950 thunderbolt that wont go into reverse it makes a clicking noise dose go forward but acts like it dont have the power any help will help
Post more details.------Was lower unit off for water pump work ?-----And will boat not move in forward ?----Will it move at slow speed but not fast ?----How did it run last year ?
