First time boat owner here. I just got a 69 orlando clipper boat with a 55hp evinrude motor. My question is and im sorry if its a stupid one, but, when I put the rabbit ears on it and started it in the driveway I noticed it was smoking out the end of the propeller. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

Rabbit ears are for TV sets. Muffs are for outboards. Couldn't resist that. 8)

Re: outboard smoking.

Some smoke is natural out the exhaust Cass....unless it's excessive. Excessive "smoke" can be pointing to a problem such as poor ignition, cold running engine or to much oil in the fuel.

If it's light and the engine systems are in good shape, should be no problems.

2 strokes burn oil and gas together. if it stops smoking, you have problems.
