Hello:

I have a 1998 200HP Johnson OceanRunner Outboard. The engine starts, but only after a few seconds, it stalls. I have checked the fuel tank(no anti-siphon valve!), fuel lines and filters, and all is fine. The bulb works fine and fuel is supplied to the engine. I did a verification of the fuel pump by disconnecting the line from where i connect to the carbs and turned the engine over. Fuel seems to be pumping out fine.

What could be causing the enginge to stall?? Is it possible the recirculation system is clogged, not allowing fuel to be draw into the carbs, just oil? There seems to be oil running out of the exaust after a start it and it stalls.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

--Jake
