having 2 problems with my 1989 15 hp OC286435
1. Starting cold it will not start it kicks like a horse pull start. I found that if I pull the plugs and pull it several times then put them back in it will start and run like normal all day until it sits and gets cold usually the next day back to the same thing.
the stator , trigger and coils ohm out in spec im thinking switchbox?
2. The motor shifts hard after running last time I had it out it stuck in reverse im thinking a swollen seal? the shift linkage from the tiller handle pops off on top of the motor which has been trouble from new have replaced several times. I haven't changed my gear oil or water pump yet which is on the agenda. just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem?
