I have a 1957 "Model # FD-11" 18hp Johnson sea horse outboard that in great condition and it runs perfect. I was wondering if anyone would have an idea what this motor might be worth? Or know where I might be able to find out. I'm looking to sell it, but I don't want to give it away.

These guys want over $1000 for theirs. http://smalloutboards.com/antiques.htm

One just sold on Ebay for $450 (with shipping). The seller didn't have a pressurized tank to test it (no guarantee to run), but it looked great.

I was actually looking to buy one of these a few weeks back. In the end, I decided to get a bigger boat with bigger motor for the same price the FD-11 would have cost me. Of course, I'm now on this forum trying to get the new motor to run right. :)

Check out Craigslist and see what people are selling them for.

Re: Outboard value

runs great, cosmetics great, pressure tank. the motor is for an open fisherman type boat, cuts the market, realistically $250-500, remember you can by newer for the same price.
