I have a 1957 "Model # FD-11" 18hp Johnson sea horse outboard that in great condition and it runs perfect. I was wondering if anyone would have an idea what this motor might be worth? Or know where I might be able to find out. I'm looking to sell it, but I don't want to give it away.

One just sold on Ebay for $450 (with shipping). The seller didn't have a pressurized tank to test it (no guarantee to run), but it looked great.

I was actually looking to buy one of these a few weeks back. In the end, I decided to get a bigger boat with bigger motor for the same price the FD-11 would have cost me. Of course, I'm now on this forum trying to get the new motor to run right.

Check out Craigslist and see what people are selling them for.

runs great, cosmetics great, pressure tank. the motor is for an open fisherman type boat, cuts the market, realistically $250-500, remember you can by newer for the same price.
