Hi, this is not my post but I am interested in the subject, so may I ask if a stearing/trottle conversion kit is available for a 1997 Force 15 hp ?

Thank you,

Pecheux

if you are a good welder and craftsmen ..... sure you can do a conversion on that force .... but for all that trouble I would rather just go buy a yamaha ...

Tx, ll check with them. On my 9.9 Johnson I can see all the hookups for the shift lever/trottle/steering that I am familiar with since I have owned a few old OMC with the funny double controls, one for trottle, one for shifting gears, But on the 15 Force I am clueless as far as where any factory controls would hook up.

Have a great day,

Well I already have the 15 hp Force which had less than 5 hours usage when I got it ... has about 25 hours on it now ... runs great, fun to use, light, love it ...

Re: outboards with tiller handles

Merc we'd need to know your motor specs. But usually you just disconnect the steering and controls and go. Did they remove the tiller when they converted it? Seems odd. If so you may have to get a tiller from a boat junkyard.

BTW this is a 3 year old thread; it's usually better to start a new one unless your addition is directly on point.
