Outdrive cleaning

I've had some white build up on my outdrive and tilt/trim cylinders that I recently cleaned off with a pressure washer. I noticed there is now pitting in the metal where this build up was. I have the "sacrificial anode" above the prop on the outdrive and thought this took care of that problem. What else can I do?

to clean off the white stuff (i think it's minerals left by water drops evaporating on a hot drive) use lime away and then wash with soap and water..

Ayuh,... Then paint it with Rustoleum....

The Anode Helps, but doesn't Stop corrosion on bare aluminum...
